Let’s start here:

The fashion industry is the second-most polluting and ethically exploitative industry!  Think about this, the total greenhouse gas emissions from the fashion industry (or textile production) is more than the amount from all international flights and maritime shipping annually! That’s 1.2 billion tonnes!

Did you notice that you buy clothing a lot more frequently, and you toss thing a lot quicker? That’s thanks to the fast fashion industry. We wear items 36% less than we did 15 years ago, and we toss about 50% of the items bought with in the year.

That doesn’t just cause waste, it also means you’ll end up replacing that item in your closet.

What about the ethical side of this problem. Have you ever thought about #WhoMadeYourClothes?

Of the 75 MILLION people employed to make our clothes, 80% are women between 18-35 earning 30-50 cents/hour.

We. 👏 Can. 👏 Do. 👏 Better. 👏

And we will!

what are we all about?

We are focusing on eliminating materials of concern from our system. Our cottons are all organic, and farmed in a regenerative way, without all the hazardous chemicals. Organic doesn't just mean less chemicals, it means less water usage. YAY YAY YAY!

Microfibers released into the ocean is another HUGE concern. By focusing on french terry, the amount of micro-fibers that are released through the washing machines drastically is limited. As we continue to design and manufacture, we will put more emphasis on only french terry materials. Plus, it's just nicer to wear. 😎

We are also considering our supply chain. We are focused on a low impact process. By being strictly e-commerce, we don’t have to worry about ‘keeping the lights on’. Literally. Online stores use about 30% less energy than traditional retail. Plus, this is where you prefer to shop, comfortably from bed!

Packaging, know that every item has been considered. Check out our packaging information. From biodegradable, renewable, recycled and recyclable materials! We’re limited the amount of waste you’ll have wherever we can. Plus, that also mean you don’t have to take out as much trash. You’re welcome.

what can you do?

Shop with companies that are changing the industry for the better. Love and USE your clothing. Purchase what you know you’ll get a lot of use out of, and finally, take care of it while you have it!

#DYK 67% of the carbon footprint from clothing happens once it’s in YOUR hands?

That’s a lot of pressure, but you can handle it! It’s easy to fix! Check out our FAQs page on how to wash / care for your apparel for details.

The DL: wash only when necessary and wash it on cold. It’s okay to spot wash, you don’t need to wash the entire garment every time! Hang to dry, saves you $$ and saves the planet! Cool cool cool, many problems fixed!
